My husband, a Native Texan, my two daughters, and I moved to Texas after my husband retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service. I am also a Navy veteran, having served for nine years. Before moving to Texas, I worked as a Social Worker for seven years in Child Welfare Services investigating child abuse and neglect and advocating for the needs of children. My dream is to be a proactive presence in the lives of children, and event planning will provide me the vehicle to continue to do it.

Too many girls have too much self doubt and criticism. “Girl~tastic” is a concept that I hope will engender a sense of self-esteem and confidence in young girls. In my interactions with girls via parties, I hope to help girls identify their own unique beauty, embrace their femininity and reject all the negative messages that our girls face today. So when your girl says “I AM GIRL-TASTIC” it will be a daily affirmation of self acceptance.
